Travel Institute Webinar with Patty Noonan

Today's webinar at the Travel Institute was about an introduction to aspiring travel professionals who want to join the industry. Patty Noonan, CTC, hosted the webinar that lasted about 45 minutes, answering questions from curious attendees at the end of the program. As one of the participants, I learned a lot about "getting yourself out there" and networking, as well as the basics of knowing our clients and getting the best education. While many agree that we love travel, when it comes to actually committing to this industry, we know there's more than just perks. It also takes a lot of hard work and dedication to really become successful in the field of travel. And don't forget the part about learning your niche market, because in today's easy access to booking via the Internet, people still count on travel specialists, a.k.a. real people, to help them plan the trip of a lifetime.
